What does it take to turn a coffee bean into a business with purpose? Join UVic Entrepreneurship Club and Enactus UVic for a morning behind the scenes at Level Ground Coffee Roasters, Victoria's direct fair trade roaster since 1997.
It connects the roastery tour with what UVEC and Enactus care about: turning a product into a business with purpose.
What's brewing
• A welcome outside the roastery (weather permitting)
• A quick briefing on the food-safety guidelines for the facility
• A guided walk through the roastery floor, from green bean to roast
• Back in the presentation room: how the coffee trade really works, buying directly from small-scale farmers, and what sustainability looks like in practice
• A side-by-side tasting of two distinct coffees
Who it's for: anyone curious about entrepreneurship, social impact or supply chains, or anyone who just loves good coffee.
