Vietnamese-English Language Exchange (Melbourne)
βWelcome to the next Vietnamese-English Language Exchange in Melbourne! π
βYou do not need to speak both languages. The exchange is for people learning Vietnamese, learning English, and speakers of either language who want to help each other practise and become more confident speaking in a supportive environment.
βVietnamese speakers can help people learning Vietnamese, English speakers can help people learning English, and everyone gets a chance to practise without worrying about getting everything right.
βSome people come to reconnect with their Vietnamese heritage. Others come to practise their English or Vietnamese. And of course, it's also a chance to make new friends and enjoy good conversation.
βThere is no requirement to be fluent. You can speak English, Vietnamese, switch between the two, or simply listen until you're comfortable joining in. If your Vietnamese or English isn't very good yet, that's a reason to come β not a reason not to!
βThis time, we'll start a little earlier with some optional darts, before heading for coffee and the usual conversations and language games. If you don't want to play darts, feel free to join us afterwards for the Language Exchange.
