Modern adult life is short on places where connection just happens. Ligare builds them: a hosted evening of real conversation and a great board game, at a table of strangers chosen to feel like your people. Someone has thought through every detail, so all you have to do is show up and be you.
Join us on a Sunday afternoon inside Drop of the Creator's tasting room, to say farewell to summer (as much as we ever do in Houston), and to debut a new Ligare game: Sushi Go! This one is easy to learn and quick to love; hands of sushi circle the table, conveyor-belt style, and you take what serves you and pass the rest on.
the theme: passing the torch
Everything we carry was handed to us by someone — the recipe, the work ethic, the terrible joke, the way you hold a door. And everything we build, we eventually hand on. A game about keeping one card and passing the rest makes the perfect table for a conversation about what we've been given, what we've built, and what we hope ends up in someone else's hands.
Never played? Perfect. Sushi Go! is one of the friendliest games we've ever run — we teach it at your table in five minutes, and you'll be drafting sashimi like a regular by round two. You don't need to be a board game person. You need to show up curious.
how a gathering runs
before you arrive — Take the Connection Profile once (ten minutes, ever). We use it to seat you with people matched on personality, life stage, and how you connect. A few days out, we'll send a preview of the night; the day before, something to think about and a playlist built around the theme.
when you arrive — Check in with your host at the door. Grab a nametag and a printed program with your table assignment, a letter written just for you, and a game cheat sheet. A chalkboard prompt ties to the theme, light games are running, and the room is full of people who came for the same reason you did. Order whatever looks good — food and drinks are available from the Drop of the Creator menu.
your table (~75–90 min) — We're inside this time, at smaller tables of four — which means more of the night belongs to your conversation. You light a candle, and a Spark Card opens things — not an icebreaker, a real question worth answering. We teach the game in five minutes, then the evening unfolds: you play, talk, eat, and open more cards as the night deepens.
after — Blow out the candle, linger, keep talking. Most people stay longer than they planned. A short survey lets you tell us who you'd love to see again — if it's mutual, we'll follow up.

Your seat at an intentionally matched table, a personalized program, Sushi Go! taught live at your table, and a Sunday worth showing up for. Food and drinks are yours to order from the menu.

Day-of registrations are welcome; some personalization may not be fully tailored in time.
Tickets become non-refundable one day before the gathering — that's when table-building begins.
