Join us for a celebration of Caribe: A Caribbean Cookbook with History, the debut cookbook from Caribbean-British author Keshia Sakarah!
Keshia's traveling from London to kick off her American book tour with a night of conversation, connection, and Caribbean flavors at BEM. The evening will feature bites curated by chef and storyteller Nneka Nurse of Best Dressed Plate, as well as a conversation between these two food practitioners where they'll dive deep into their Caribbean roots, diasporic lives, and how it all comes together and shows up in their work.

More about the participants
Keshia Sakarah is a second-generation West Indian born in the UK. Her grandparents immigrated to England in the 1950s during the Windrush era from Montserrat and Barbuda. Growing up in a Caribbean household, Keshia was very connected to her culture and learnt a lot about it watching her grandparents cook.
Nneka Nurse is a powerhouse culinary curator, international tastemaker, and digital thought leader dedicated to elevating Caribbean cuisine and culture on the global stage. As the founder of Bestdressedplate and the groundbreaking Caribbean Tradishon Supper Club, Nneka blends storytelling, event execution, and authentic cultural narratives.
