About Event

A hands-on neuroscience lab featuring a live EEG recording setup, focus-mapping, and practical tools for context-switching fatigue.

Have you ever wondered what raw brainwave data actually looks like when recorded in real time?

In an era of endless notifications, AI tools, and rapid context-switching, our cognitive capacity has become our biggest bottleneck. While tech speeds up, our neurobiology hasn't changed.

Join us for Mapping Brainwaves, a hands-on neuroscience workshop on task-switching fatigue and focus.

📡 The Live Brainwave Setup

During the session, a volunteer will wear an EEG headset so we can observe a live brainwave recording setup together. We will explore how brain signals are captured and demystify what the data actually shows.

🔬 The experiment

In a small group you’ll try a fast attention game and notice what task switching feels like under pressure. We’ll unpack the neuroscience in plain language, connect it to your own workday, and practise ways to protect time for focused work and important decisions.

🧠 What You Will Learn

  • Deconstruct cognitive load: Understand the biological cost of constant context-switching.

  • EEG demo: See real EEG signal collection and learn what brain data can and cannot tell us about focus.

  • Take home practical tools: Learn somatic micro-interventions to reset your nervous system and transition cleanly between tasks so you can experiment what works for your busy day.

Who it’s for: Founders, freelancers, remote professionals, creatives and anyone whose work involves frequent switching between tasks. No science background or laptop needed. Volunteering for the EEG demonstration is optional.

🎟️ Strictly capped at 15 spots per lab for hands-on interaction.

👉 Cannot make it to this session? Few more workshops in the week will be announced!

After lunch, a few separate private EEG recording appointments will be available between 14:00 and 17:00. These require their own advance booking and payment; a workshop booking does not include a recording. Interested in having your own neuroimaging session? About the facilitators:

Angela is a neuroscientist (M.Sc.) and facilitator based in Barcelona. Through Synapse Coaching, she works with researchers, founders, and teams on attention, cognitive load, and decision-making under pressure. Her approach: help people understand how their own brain works under load, then apply it to their daily lives.
For the workshop, she collaborates with Incarnation Radisson of INCAR DP that combines 25 years of running own company and further training in applying EEG in executive coaching. Through her coaching she helps executives and business leaders gain clarity, overcome internal barriers, and make more conscious, confident decisions about their professional lives.

EEG notice: Electroencephalography is a non-invasive way to visualise brain signals on the cortical level. The live EEG signals are used for demo only where we do simple tasks such as opening or closing eyes. The data would not be stored beyond the workshop and cannot be used for medical diagnosis.
