TEDxFuture School Youth
The Future of Education, Rewritten
Most of the school day was set by habit, not evidence: start times, lesson length, exam schedules, and the assumption that teenagers can't do real work until they're adults. TEDxFuture School Youth puts those assumptions on stage and asks what happens when we rewrite them.
Researchers and students share short, idea-led talks across three threads: the Future of Learning, Future Skills and Future Dreams. Around the talks is a chance to see the work young people have already built and shipped.
What to expect
Short talks. Ideas from researchers, thinkers and students, each told in under 10 minutes.
Food, drinks and fun merch
Student work, on the side. Before and after the talks, you'll find things students have made around the space: apps, 3D-printed models, live builds and a short film shot in 48 hours. The makers are there, so ask them how they did it.
A passport to collect. You earn stamps by talking to the makers, not by walking past their tables. A complete passport gets you special merch!
Timings
Doors and the expo open at 11:00 am. Talks start at 11:55 am sharp, and the expo reopens with food from 1:10pm until 2:00pm.
Seats are limited to 100.
Good to know
Talks are filmed for the TEDx YouTube channel, and the event will be photographed.
After the event, we will email you a one-question survey about your experience. Please keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder).
