Meet the Funds turns fundraising upside down. Instead of founders pitching investors, Toronto's best venture capital funds take the stage to tell you — the founder — exactly what they're looking for, how they write cheques, and why they should be on your cap table.
This is not a networking mixer. This is a curated intelligence briefing on where early-stage capital is flowing in Canada — delivered by the people who deploy it.
🛑 Who Can Attend
🟡 Founders: You MUST complete this application to be considered. The top founders will receive a ticket to attend in person; everyone else will have access to the content digitally.
🟡 VCs: This is invite-only. If you have not received an invitation but would like to pitch, you can email [email protected].
🟢 LPs: We would love for individuals looking to support our great fund managers to attend. Email [email protected] to secure your ticket.
🟡 Volunteers: We will need 10-15 volunteers on the day of the event. If you want to support us, request to join.
🔴 Ecosystem Partners: This is a high-value event for those in the flow of capital. We won't allow ecosystem partners.
Format
VC Pitches (10:30 AM — 12:00 PM)
Hear pitches from 15 early-stage VCs. Each will walk you through their sectoral focus, stage, thesis, cheque size and more. This insider information will help you target the right funds and understand exactly what they are looking for in a venture.
Networking (12:00 — 12:45 PM)
You'll have 45 minutes after the end of the on-stage session to connect with 1-3 VCs who are a great fit for your business or to connect with fellow founders who can support you in your fundraising journey.
Organizer
This event is organized by Growth Partners — A fractional CFO advisory firm that helps seed and Series A startups build the financial infrastructure to raise, scale, and win.
Host
This event will be hosted by Liam Gill — A former startup founder, angel investor and lawyer who supports Canadian ventures in raising the capital they need to grow and scale in Canada.
