About Event

Join StoryTell for an evening of connection through conversation and personal storytelling. We'll explore our perspectives, curiosities, and personal stories on the theme of "Platonic Love".

In a society that centers romantic love at the center, where have you found your platonic relationships to be a core anchor for you in your life? What does commitment look like in your deepest friendships? Share a moment when a friend proved they were in it for the long haul. When was a time a friendship outlasted a major life change: a move, breakup, or identity shift? When have you felt “chosen” by a friend in a way that mirrored or exceeded romantic commitment? Let's celebrate our deepest friend-loves together.

100% of proceeds will be donated to the Minneapolis Community Aid Network.

What to expect:

  • 🗣️ Part conversation! We'll get intellectual in small group discussions, expanding on our deeper feelings, emotions, and perspectives around our theme.

    • Get inspired by this article or podcast episode: With Rhaina Cohen, NPR journalist and author of "The Other Significant Others: Reimagining Life with Friendship at the Center"

  • 📖 Part storytelling! Feeling inspired by our conversation? Have a story to share? We'll be sharing true, personal stories based on an evolution you went through.

    • Stories are optional, open to anyone, and are limited to 3-5 minutes.

    • This is a low-stakes opportunity to share your story with a warm, open community in a "campfire stories" setting.

  • 💖 All community. Come to build in-person relationships through vulnerability, courage, and shared experience. You'll meet new open-minded, curious friends through deeper, intentional connection.
