The time has come for a global carbon dioxide removal organization
The new UN Emissions Gap report declares a need for carbon dioxide removal of “roughly 320 GtCO2 over the course of this century in order to return warming to 1.5°C by 2100”. It’s the first time the Executive Summary of the annual Emissions Gap report features an amount of carbon dioxide removals needed.
At the same time, there’s no global organization dedicated to achieving these kinds of global carbon dioxide removal targets.
Come join Dr. Injy Johnstone (State of CDR) and Tito Jankowski (AirMiners) in discussion on the gaps and opportunities for a global organization for carbon dioxide removal.
Key topics:
Where we need to be with a global organization
Where we are today
What the gap and opportunity is
Where we go next
Speakers:
Dr. Injy Johnstone, Head of Partnerships, State of CDR
Tito Jankowski, CEO, AirMiners (moderator)
