About Event

WHAT: Join us for a visit to Barton Creek Greenbelt for a moderate hike, wellness activities led by Mitchell, and socializing!

WHO: Neurodivergent adults who enjoy being outside in nature, exploring mindfulness and stress-relief, or just looking for an opportunity to enjoy some pleasant weather and move their bodies!

Participants will be expected to stay with/nearby the group, as this is a social outing, so support persons are recommended for anyone who may find that expectation challenging. (Please RSVP separately for any support person).

WHERE: 2201 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78746. We will park near the Barton Springs Pool location at Zilker Park and meet in front of the Sheffield Education Center.

See map location of meeting spot. See picture of meeting spot. After using the restrooms, we will travel west and drop down onto the Barton Creek Greenbelt trail.

*Please be sure to arrive between 12:55 pm and 1:05 pm so we can enjoy the trail together. Additionally, please be sure to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes that are appropriate for navigating uneven terrain.

In the unlikely event that you have trouble finding parking near the meet-up spot, there are alternate parking locations just north and east of the lot closest to Barton Springs pool, as pictured here.

ACCESSIBILITY: Most of the trail is unpaved and can have uneven terrain, therefore this outing is not recommended for those who use mobility aides or wheelchairs.
