Please join us for our next OpenMetadata Community Meetup, "Your Data, Your Agents, One Open Context Layer"! Frontier Labs like OpenAI have built internal data agents on a context layer that tells AI what data exists and what it means. This month we'll show how you can build your own with OpenMetadata, from the Context Center and Memory through to the MCP tools that connect it all to coding agents like Claude Code and Codex.

This month's meetup features a Community Spotlight with Paul Phillips! Paul runs a data architecture consultancy and uses OpenMetadata as the trust layer for his clients. He'll walk through the data certification process he built on the catalog, showing how it replaces ad-hoc spreadsheets with a system clients can rely on. He'll also cover the client-facing features he powers through the OpenMetadata API, from lineage tracing inside dashboards, where a client clicks a visualization and sees exactly where the data came from, to grounding AI agents in verified context. It's a business-leader perspective on OpenMetadata that complements the community's deep engineering dives.

Then the OpenMetadata team will continue the 2.0 deep dive. At the 2.0 launch, we introduced the Context Center, Memory, and the latest MCP tools, and flagged a set of topics to carry into this session. One of our engineers will show how those pieces work together end-to-end: how Memory, the Context Center, and MCP connect to coding agents like Claude Code and Codex, with worked examples you can take back to your own deployment.
