Who they are
House of Hope is run by Brian Miller and his team in Medellín. They take in mothers most of the city walks past: homeless, abandoned, pregnant or with a baby in their arms, some rescued from trafficking and abuse.
What they do
A mother enters the home and stays for a full year. In that year she gets a safe place to sleep, food for her and her kids, a doctor, a psychologist and a social worker, job training or a path into a career, and a community around her. When she graduates, they help her furnish her first home and walk out on her own two feet.

A 24/7 home in Caldas for the girls and their babies. And a transition home in the city.
What your money does
$100 feeds a mother and her child for a month
$250 covers medical care for a pregnant mother
$500 puts a mother through job training
$1,000 covers more than two months in the home for a mother and her child
$2,500 covers six months for one mother
$5,000 covers one mother, with her children, for a full year
$10,000 covers two mothers for a full year
The goal
$150,000 this year. That's 25 mothers and up to 75 children through the door of the program. On average the foundation has been able to take 12 mothers a year. This room doubles it.
Why you can trust it
Every dollar raised on the night is recorded against your bidder number and reported back to the room before you leave. Event costs are paid directly by the foundation against real invoices, so there is no middleman and no markup. Your ticket and sponsors cover the costs. 100% of everything over goes directly to the foundation. Brian will be in the room. So will a mother who came through the program. About 20 EH members have already visited the homes or joined the Wednesday night outreach to feed families on the street. Ask them. Dress Code - Strictly Enforced at the door.
Required: classic black tie for men. Elegant black evening wear for women.
Men. A black or dark formal suit with a white dress shirt, black bow tie and black dress shoes. Tuxedo optional.
Not this: non black suits without a bow tie, casual shirts, sneakers, or a regular black tie.
Women. Black is timeless and safe but not required. Think elegant: navy, emerald, burgundy, jewel tones, metallics, even white as long as it is not a wedding. Err formal if in doubt.
Not this: casual dresses, sundresses, flats, oversized handbags.

FAQ
Is my ticket my donation?
No. Your ticket covers your seat, and your dinner. It pays for the night. The giving happens in the room: the live auction and the paddle raise. We take every ones card at registration. If you don't donate it doesn't get charged. But come ready to raise your paddle. The goal is that everyone in the room gives something, at whatever level is right for you. $100 or $10,000, both matter and both get called out.
I'm not a member. Can I come, or bring someone?
Yes, if you're invited. Members can bring partners and guests. Non-members can request a seat and Thomas approves the list by hand, which is why every ticket says "Require Approval." How do I give on the night, and is it tax deductible?
At check-in you get a bidder number and we put a card on file, the same way you open a tab at a bar. Raise your paddle, we record it against your number, and you're charged once at the end. Cards from any country work; your bank may add a small FX fee. Donations run through Global Transformation Ministries, a US 501(c)(3), so US donors receive a receipt for their records. Ask your own advisor on deductibility where you live.
I can't make it. Can I still give?
Yes. Message Thomas and we'll add you to the paddle raise remotely, or send you the giving link once the platform is live.
What if I don't own black tie?
Rent it. formalmedellin.com in El Poblado, mention EntreHouse for the member discount. The dress code is enforced at the door, so don't test it.
