Workshop: Imagining Creative Ways to Test Your Idea
Who are you building for, and how do you know what they actually need?
Ideas can come from anywhere. Turning an idea into something meaningful starts with understanding the people you hope to serve. In this hands-on workshop, Emily Roller, Assistant Director of Student Programming at Tsai CITY, will help students embrace curiosity, challenge assumptions, and identify the audiences or markets connected to their work.
Students will learn how to define and segment potential audiences, examine what they think they know about them, and use real-world research to test those assumptions and uncover meaningful insights.
Designed for Launch Pad students, but open to any Yale student developing an idea, this workshop will introduce practical tools for customer discovery that students can immediately apply to their own work.
