​What is a Hero for Kindness?
A Hero for Kindness is an accomplished leader who is ready to deploy their success toward lasting community impact. They recognize that meaningful change requires more than good intentions. It requires action, leadership, and influence.

​This is Not a Fundraiser.
This is about stepping up to do something about the problem of isolation in our community. That could mean sharing your executive network, opening doors to key resources, offering strategic guidance, or lending your voice to advocate for the most vulnerable members of our community. Heroes for Kindness are ready to use their success to make meaningful change.

​What is Joy at the Capitol?
In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, this exhibition features a year's worth of extraordinary artwork created by isolated elders living in local nursing homes. Behind every piece of art is a long-time resident whose voice, dignity, and history have been brought back to life.
