Brighten up your February with our first-ever LGD Dev Days.
Hybrid event - London and online (via Zoom).
Day 2 - Contribution
The LocalGov Drupal Contribution Day is an opportunity for anyone to get involved in contributing to LocalGov Drupal, whether you are an experienced Drupal developer or completely new to drupal.org
We have some hopes for the day - for example, we’d like to get Elections and Waste Collection to stable releases, but primarily it’s about what you want to work on.
Look at the issue queue for the day and think about what you’d like to work on (you may already know)
We assume for code contributions
You have your own computer
You have some experience with Drupal
You have some familiarity with git
How the day will run
We’ll split into groups to work through projects and issues (mostly self-organised on the day) and use Zoom breakout rooms for those online and tables in Space 4. We’ll come together 3 times during the day to see how everyone’s getting on
We will have experienced people on hand to help first-time contributors on the day.
Preparation for the day:
Please join the dedicated Slack channel for the event - #dev-days-lgd
Make sure you have a drupal.org account and have set up your organisation (message on #group-technical to ask someone to verify your profile before you create your org)
A local working development environment is recommended.

Programme:
Zoom room will be open from 9.30am for people to meet and settle in
Welcome talk explaining the day at 10am
Contribution time from 10.30
Come back together at 12.45pm to do a quick standup to find out what’s happened
