What is Joy at the Capitol?
In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, long-time Austin residents living in nursing homes across the Greater Austin area have spent the past year creating artwork in honor of the Texas they remember, love, and cherish. For five days, their artwork will hang inside the Texas State Capitol, restoring agency, visibility, and honor to our community's elders.
Evening Highlights
4:00-5:00p: First look exhibition access
5:00-5:30p: Remarks from program leadership and ribbon cutting ceremony
5:30-7:00p: Refreshments, networking with community leaders, and private exhibition viewing

Private and By Invitation Only: This invitation is non-transferable and reserved for designated civic leaders, elected officials, and organizational directors.
