Journal, Meditation, + Bird Walk in Central Park
What is a Bird Journaling & Meditation Walk?
A Bird Journaling & Meditation Walk is a gentle, curiosity-led experience where we slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and use the birds around us as a way to practice mindfulness.
This is not about being “good” at meditation.
This is not about having a perfect journal entry.
This is definitely not about needing any experience.
This is about trying something new — in a space that feels safe, supportive, and maybe even a little magical.
✨ What to Expect
📝 30 minutes of guided journaling
A beginner-friendly journaling practice designed to help you reflect, notice, and connect with yourself.
🐦 30 minutes of guided bird meditation
We’ll explore meditation in a way that feels approachable and accessible — broken into small, easy-to-follow sections so that even if you’ve never meditated before, you can enjoy the experience.
🌿 A mindful bird walk through Central Park
After our journaling and meditation, we’ll take a gentle walk together, grounding ourselves in the birds we see, the sounds around us, and the world we’re sharing the space with.
💛 A low-pressure, neurodivergent-friendly, beginner-focused space where everyone is welcome.
There’s no “right” way to participate. You can come curious, quiet, excited, nervous, or somewhere in between.
🕒 Timeline
11:00 — Meet-up & introductions
11:10 — Guided journaling (easy and beginner-friendly, I promise!)
11:40 — Guided bird meditation (broken into simple, approachable sections)
12:10 — Bird walk & mindful observation
We’ll move slowly, pause often, and let the birds guide us.
💛 What if I’m nervous?
That’s completely okay.
Trying something new — especially something like meditation or joining a group — can feel vulnerable. You are not the only person who may feel that way.
This space is designed for exactly that.
You do not need to be:
• Experienced
• “Good” at meditation
• Outgoing
• A bird expert
• Confident
You just need to show up.
You can:
• Participate quietly
• Share as much or as little as you’d like
• Take breaks whenever you need
• Simply observe and enjoy the experience
All of my events are neurodivergent-friendly and neurodivergent-affirming. If you have any questions before the event about what to expect, how it works, or how the experience will feel, please feel free to reach out anytime.
This is truly for everyone — whether this is your first meditation, your first journaling exercise, or your first time joining a bird event.
🌿 Reminders (aka: set yourself up for success)
• No binoculars needed — we’ll focus on being present with the birds around us!
• Bring a towel to sit on!
• Bring a journal + something to write with 📝
• Wear comfy shoes — we’ll be walking!
• Pack light and bring water 💧
• I’ll keep an eye on the weather and send updates if anything shifts 🌤️
The birds aren’t judging your meditation technique… and neither are we 💛
