Listening Room: Analog Funk — Vinyl selections by ABUNAI and Solotape
Join us for the first edition of Listening Room at York Street Collective. To kick things off, ABUNAI and Solotape will spin an all-vinyl selection on the theme Analog Funk. Expect a journey through funky grooves tracing the genre’s evolution — from retro records of the ’70s and ’80s to contemporary pressings — accompanied with light commentary on the chosen records.
Listening Room is a series of guided listening sessions curated by local artists — each exploring a distinct musical narrative — presented live on our hi-fi sound system. Silence is expected once the music starts. Please step outside or to the back of the space if you need to talk.
The space will be open 3pm onwards with non-alcoholic cocktails and tea for sale. Music starts at 7.30pm.
