About Event

I'm running a free, one-hour unofficial speaker briefing to help you significantly increase your chances of landing a talk at SXSW London or Cannes Lions. Both have just opened their 2027 speaker applications (closing 12 and 30 November).

There are three ways onto the official line-up:

1. You're Invited 💌
↳ You have the right connections and/or a name that can sell tickets.

2. You Pay 💰
↳ You become a sponsor. Got £xx,xxx's to spare, anyone?

3. You Apply ✌️
↳ You compete against thousands of submissions.

We're focusing on route 3.

For most people, route 3 is low odds. Most applications curators receive won't stand a chance, not because the idea's bad, but because it's been pitched wrong.

But with the right strategy, it's not that hard to make it into the top 5% of applications.

We'll cover:

✅ The format curators actually want to book
✅ How to pick your track (and your angle within it)
✅ Who to pitch it with, and why that matters

Live on Zoom, Tuesday 27 October, 12pm UK. Questions at the end.

See you there,
Alex

P.s. I'm not speaking on behalf of either event. I'm offering an outsider's perspective as someone who has sat on both sides of the table, having spent the last 12 years sifting through over 1,500 speaker applications curating stages like TEDxClapham, and helping speakers land talks like these (SXSW London and Cannes Lions included).
