New Year, New System Workshop

​This is a hands-on workshop to get your life for 2026 into one place in Notion!

​We’ll walk through the basics together and you’ll build your own setup as we go. By the end, you’ll have a workspace you can actually use for school and everything else on your plate.

​You’ll:

• ​Set up a semester dashboard for classes and deadlines

• ​Create a goals tracker for 2026

• ​Build a weekly planner that matches your real schedule

​Agenda:

• ​7:00-7:10 - Welcome + New Year intentions activity

  • ​Quick go-around: one thing each person wants to accomplish in 2026

• ​7:10-7:25 - Notion 101: Pages, databases, and how they connect

• ​7:25-7:55 - Build-along session (students follow on their laptops):

  • ​Create a semester dashboard with course database

  • ​Add a goals tracker with progress indicators

  • ​Set up a weekly planner with linked databases

  • ​Quick intro to AI features for note-taking

• ​7:55-8:15 - Customization time: Add widgets, covers, personal touches

• ​8:15-8:30 - Share-out: Volunteers show their setups, Q&A

​Bring your laptop. No prior Notion experience needed—everything will be step‑by‑step and you’ll leave with a working system.

​This workshop is open to UC Berkeley students only. Please register using your @berkeley.edu email address to verify your student status. Registrations submitted with non-Berkeley emails will not be accepted.

​Due to limited room capacity, this workshop is capped at 50 students. Registration is first come, first served, so be sure to sign up early.
