Designers Zen Weaving Session at Loop of the Loom
Come join us for a 2-hour Zen weaving session on the loom with other senior designers
Many of us are burned out right now from AI and work. This hands-on zen session is meant to be a relaxing and restorative start to the weekend.
This is a beginner-friendly, no prior experience necessary event for first-time weavers. Materials and instructions are included, come away with new connections and a finished woven piece.
This is a small, intimate event for only 10 attendees.

“At our Zen weaving dojo, there are no mistakes. In this meditative and creative experience, we’ll gently guide you to use the loom and create designs with simple techniques. Your busy mind will find rest, your creativity will bloom, and you’ll rediscover the joy and excitement you may have forgotten since childhood. In just a couple hours, you can create a tapestry-sized piece. You’ll leave feeling proud, relaxed, and inspired.”
During the weaving session, we can chit chat or also work in silence, so just go with the flow.
We will need to be promptly out by 8PM so please arrive on time. Please bring a water bottle and/or snacks as we won't be serving food or drinks. We may grab dinner as a group at a nearby restaurant afterwards.
Please be aware:
* In keeping with Japanese tradition and hygiene, please remove your shoes before entering the weaving area. We recommend bringing socks or slippers. Disposable shoe covers are also available upon request.
* Keep phones on silent during class. Use only for emergencies, and take all conversations outside the weaving area.
* Snacks and drinks are only allowed in the waiting area, away from the weaving areas. Please be sure to clean your hands before returning to class. We recommend that you bring your own bottled water, as we do not have a water station.
* Children are allowed, though they would need to purchase an additional loom (1 person per loom). Only service animals are allowed.
