Summer Cool Down: Swimming at Deep Hole Nature Sanctuary
βSwimming at Deep Hole Nature Sanctuary π Accord, NY ~1.5 hrs from NYC
βCome cool off with the Ladies Open Air Society at one of the Hudson Valley's most beloved swimming holes. Deep Hole is a spring fed pool on the Peters Kill in Accord, carved out over centuries into a wide, cool, clear basin about 8 feet deep.
βThis is a community run sanctuary, not a state park. It's privately owned and kept open to the public entirely by a small volunteer nonprofit, Deep Hole Nature Sanctuary. Please treat it with love and respect.
βGetting There
Deep Hole is located in Accord, NY Carpool from NYC is strongly encouraged, parking is limited and the road is narrow. We will pair up carpoolers 24~ish hours in advance of the hike.
