🔍 Understanding HIV

  • HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) attacks the body’s immune system and, if untreated, can lead to AIDS.

  • It is transmitted through unprotected sex, shared needles, blood transfusions, and from mother to child during childbirth or breastfeeding.

🧠 Tackling the Stigma

  • Social stigma around HIV prevents many from getting tested or seeking treatment.

  • Education and open conversations are vital to dismantling myths and biases.

🩺 Why Testing Matters

  • Early detection leads to early treatment, better health outcomes, and reduces the risk of transmission.

  • Testing is quick, confidential, and widely accessible.

👥 Protect Yourself and Others

  • Use protection, avoid sharing needles, and get tested regularly if you're at risk.

  • Support those living with HIV with empathy and without judgment.

💪 Let’s Create a Supportive Culture

  • Regular awareness sessions and open dialogue can help normalize testing and support prevention.
