About Event

Your search fund cap table is more than a list of names and check sizes. Your investors will become your mentors, and some of them your board members when it comes time to acquire. Yet some searchers treat investor selection as a purely financial exercise. They focus on securing commitments without asking the harder question: Who do I actually want on my cap table during the search, who during the transaction, and who during the operation?

This distinction matters. Different investors bring different kinds of experience. Some have deep operational backgrounds and can help you run a business. Others have transaction expertise and know how to structure and negotiate deals. A few have been through the entire cycle themselves and can anticipate what lies ahead. For first-time searchers who have never run an SME, having the right mix of expertise on your cap table is a strong building block to your success.

This webinar addresses how to build that kind of syndicate.

Join Gerrit Heidemanns (Investment Manager, evolutiq) for a session on selecting investors who can support you through every phase. We will explore:

  • Beyond capital: How to evaluate investors as mentors and long-term partners.

  • The equity gap risk: Why initial search investors do not always fund the acquisition, and how to reduce that risk from day one.

  • The board connection: How the cap table becomes the boardroom, and why that matters when selecting investors.

When: Wednesday, July 8, 2026, 19.00 – 20.00 CET

Where: Online via Zoom

For everyone interested in ETA or actively preparing their search.
