r/Dayton Meetup (15 Year Edition)
Fifteen years ago, a handful of Dayton redditors pushed some tables together at South Park Tavern for our first ever meetup. About 14 of us showed up that night, some huddled by the firepit on a chilly October evening. A month later, 25 people came out for round two.
Lifelong friendships were made at those gatherings. One of our mods even met their best friend at that very first one, bonding instantly over Nine Inch Nails and the then-just-released Social Network soundtrack.
After years of quiet, we’ve been rebuilding momentum this past year – and now we’re back with something big.
Join us at The Brightside on October 28th, 7–11pm to celebrate the spirit of connection and community. Wear a costume if you’re feeling spooky (but totally optional).
Come meet new people, see familiar faces, and help us mark 15 years of r/Dayton in the best way possible: together.

We're at 1000 members now. Book clubs, trivia teams, group hikes, new meetups every week. There's lots of deep convos about all kinds of topics happening all day. Even people vibing in voice channels together while they work.
