​Module two: Shortlisting and interviewing  

​Aim

​To equip learners with the skills and confidence to shortlist applicants fairly, conduct effective interviews, communicate professionally with candidates, and use AI responsibly to support recruitment decision-making

​Content

​This interactive session focuses on the key stages of candidate selection and communication. You'll explore how to apply fair and consistent shortlisting criteria, communicate effectively with candidates and conduct structured interviews that support informed recruitment decisions. The session will also consider how AI tools can be used appropriately to support shortlisting, preparation and recruitment administration while maintaining fairness and good practice.

​By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

• ​Conduct effective and structured interviews

• ​Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment process
