About Event

Join us on Wednesday 10 June from 6:30–9:00pm BST for a special evening designed to help you prepare for the GPhC Registration Assessment.

6:30–8:00pm BST – Extended Clinical Mock Assessment Led by Yasir Sacranie, this 90-minute clinical mock will challenge you with a range of GPhC-style questions and scenarios designed to reflect the standard and style of the registration assessment. The session will focus on applying clinical knowledge, interpreting information, and developing exam technique under timed conditions.

8:00–9:00pm BST – Ask the Former GPhC Assessor Join Ahmed Aboo, Head of the Leicester School of Pharmacy at De Montfort University and former member of the GPhC Board of Assessors, for an exclusive Q&A session focused on the registration assessment.

Once registrations have opened, attendees will be sent a form to submit questions in advance so the session can focus on the areas trainees most want support with ahead of the assessment.

Ahmed has over 10 years' experience in academia, having held various roles at De Montfort University. Alongside his academic career, he has worked across both community and hospital pharmacy as a pharmacist and independent prescriber. During his 15 years at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, he held a range of clinical and leadership positions.

He is a former member of the GPhC Board of Assessors and previously served on the GPhC Appointments and Assurance Committee.

This session offers the opportunity to gain insight into the registration assessment from the assessor's perspective, including common mistakes candidates make, how questions are interpreted, what strong candidates do differently, and key areas trainees should focus on in the final weeks before the exam. There will also be discussion around exam technique, revision strategy, time management, and approaching questions with greater confidence.
