Playbook Mastermind: Housing Cooperatives in TN
What if the people who live in a community also owned it?
Join the Nashville Equitable Housing Cooperative (NEHC), a collaborative initiative of the William Franklin Buchanan Community Development Corporation (WFBCDC), for a virtual mastermind built around our new playbook, Housing Cooperatives in Tennessee: Building Affordable Communities Through Resident Ownership.
NEHC and its partners are working to transition nearly 200 multifamily units into limited-equity cooperative housing. This session explains how that model works, why it matters for affordability in Tennessee, and what it takes to make it happen.
What we’ll cover:
Executive Summary: the playbook’s key ideas and what resident ownership can do for Tennessee communities
Case Study: a close look at cooperative housing in practice
Panel Conversation: an interview with Carlina Bell with WFBCDC, Joseph Davidson with MFX Ventures, and Kia Jarmon with MEPR Agency
Live Q&A: 15-20 minutes to bring your questions to the panel
Who should attend: residents and tenant leaders, housing advocates, community and faith leaders, nonprofit and CDC staff, policymakers, funders, and anyone curious about building affordability through shared ownership.
