WISE-VIR: Razor-Thin Confidence Margins - Managing Imposter Syndrome in Sustainable & Impact Investing
In sustainable and impact investing, the stakes feel higher. The problems are bigger than any one person, the resources are tighter, and the pressure to prove your seat at the table is real. You’re often making crucial decisions with incomplete information, with significant implications for people, planet, and profit. It’s no wonder many of us are operating on razor-thin confidence margins.
Challenges with career confidence and imposter syndrome can have a significant impact on high achievers, especially women, and can seriously affect your career trajectory and job satisfaction. Impact practitioners solving complex problems with research and rigor deserve better than “fake it till you make it.” We need a different approach.
In this workshop, attendees will learn:
How imposter syndrome shows up, and the perspective and value only you bring
Short-term strategies for the moments confidence takes the biggest hit
Long-term strategies for confidence that holds up under pressure
Why navigating this alone makes it harder — and what community changes
