September 12-13. Both days start at 8am. Come spend two worthwhile days learning the skills and techniques that will take you from a canyon passenger to a canyoneer who can contribute to a team! You can be brand new or have a little experience. Either way, this is for you!

Sponsored by Canyon Guides International, Glacier Black, Gear Perspective, On Rope, Out N Back, Rock Exotica

Topics for the two days include:

  • Canyoneering Essentials

  • Risk management

  • Gear selection, use, and care

  • Knot craft

  • Forces-Friction

  • Anchors and rigging

  • Techniques on rope

  • Self-rescue

Rule #1 for free events: If you register, please make every effort to attend. If you must cancel, do so early enough to give someone else time to sign up as a replacement. Last-minute cancellations are disappointing and discouraged. If you can't attend the entire two-day event, please cancel your registration. Thank you!
