Studio Visit with Mario Moore

​Join Mario Moore for an intimate gathering at his Detroit studio, offering a closer look at his practice and a preview of his monumental sculpture of Malcolm X before it departs for the foundry. The work is being developed as part of Malcolm X Plaza, a public art and civic initiative conceived by Moore for Detroit’s Dexter Avenue. Guests will have an opportunity to spend time with the artist, experience the work in progress, and learn more about the larger vision for the Plaza as the project takes shape.
