For the Firsts: April Meetup
For The Firsts is a purpose-fueled meetup club for those building without a blueprint
Expect an evening of interesting conversation in an inviting space as you meet and mingle with other "firsts" — those who are the first in their family to choose their professional path with intention instead of inertia.
Enjoy refreshing drinks, delicious bites, and the chance to connect with other professionals, creatives, students, and founders. Each of our meetups looks something like this:
6:00 - 6:30 PM: Arrival & Open Mixer
6:30 - 6:40 PM: Introduction
6:40 - 8:00 PM: Guided Networking Experience
8:00 - 9:00 PM: Open Mixer
If you are approved, please try to arrive on time, as our events regularly hit capacity and we have many folks on the waitlist.
Here’s what to expect:
Cringe-Free Conversation: This isn't a networking event. It's a purpose-led meetup where who you are will always be more important than what you do. The dress code is always 'come exactly as you are, meet exactly who you need'.
Guided Moments of Connection: This experience is at the core of For The Firsts. We’ll have a few rounds of guided connection meant to introduce you to others who share your story. Remember the first rule of For The Firsts: go deeper than your job title!
Firsts, not Followers: Each meetup is curated to bring together the best possible group of professionals, creatives, and founders in NYC who are the architects of their own lives. Intention is in everything we do, and you'll find that in the people you meet. Remember, the best way to get to know someone is to get someone to know you.
I want to encourage you to connect on who you are and your purpose for your work and life. Remember Rule #1: No job titles, go deeper. Tell us why, how and for whom you do what you do.
