About Event

Hello Wonderful Women!

We hope you will join us on Thursday, November 5 for an empowering evening with a presentation from Dr. Jaime Blandino.

Drawing from more than 20 years as a psychotherapist working with women across the lifespan, psychologist Dr. Jaime Blandino invites us to explore the often-unexpected awakenings that midlife brings. As our roles, relationships, bodies, and priorities evolve, many of us find ourselves at a crossroads. We may simultaneously crave more freedom and authenticity while the demands of multiple roles only become more complex-- and perhaps more exhausting than ever.

Midlife invites us to reconsider our sense of identity, meaning, purpose, and priorities. Together, we'll explore how influences from our past, our culture, and the expectations we've inherited along the way shape the ways we navigate the “hard” as well as the hopeful possibilities for the future. With gentle guided reflection, we'll consider a deeper question: How much of who I am reflects who I've chosen to be, and how much reflects who I've learned I needed to be?

From burnout, ambivalence, and shifting identities to desire, reinvention, and the challenge of honoring our own needs while caring for others, we'll make room for honest reflection, meaningful connection, and plenty of laughter and lightheartedness. There will certainly be more to explore than time may allow, so rather than trying to cover it all, we'll trust the wisdom and curiosity of the group to guide us toward what feels most meaningful.

Everyone is welcome, at any age! Come with an open heart and a curious mind. Leave with a greater sense of connection and belonging, reassurance that you're not alone, and practical exercises to help you revisit your values and priorities, reconnect with your authentic self, and make more intentional choices about where you devote your time and energy--all in service of greater agency, meaning, and vitality.

ABOUT THE GATHERING
Women Rising is a facilitated community gathering for women who want to reconnect with themselves and with one another in a meaningful, grounded way. Through real-life conversation and a bit of fun, we create a space to slow down, listen inwardly, and resource ourselves, while staying engaged with the world beyond the circle.

ABOUT JESSE'S HOUSE
Jesse's House in Forsyth County, Georgia, is making a significant impact in the fight against human trafficking by offering specialized care and support to young girls who have been victims of abuse. This non-profit organization is working to shift the narrative around trafficking by focusing on the complex realities of victims' experiences, rather than the often-sensationalized portrayals in media. Through comprehensive care, including medical, psychiatric, and educational support, Jesse's House is helping victims rebuild their lives and fostering community involvement in this crucial cause. Jesse's House offers girls who have been trafficked a safe haven for healing, support, and empowerment. Women Rising works in partnership with Jesse's House as a part of our larger mission to resource women beyond the circle.
