Camp MaiVERICK: The Literacy Movement
IHello All!
As we continue to seek innovative approaches that address literacy achievement gaps while honoring the whole learner, we must explore how movement and cognition work together to create transformational educational experiences. How might we integrate kinetic strategies with literacy instruction in ways that activate all four lenses of the Portrait of a Nevada Learner while maintaining rigorous academic standards?
In this 6-hour immersive experience, we'll work together to discover how research-backed movement integration can transform compliance-based literacy activities into authentic engagement opportunities. Our expert partners from Hiveclass will lead the morning kinesthetic learning experience, bringing their specialized expertise in movement-integrated instruction directly to Nevada educators. Building on your TAMER framework knowledge, you'll then design your own AI-collaborated kinetic learning experiences using everything you've learned about thoughtful technology partnership and embodied learning.
You'll experience expert-led movement-integrated literacy instruction from kinesthetic learning specialists, then collaborate with AI to design your own transformational learning experiences that honor both rigorous academics and whole-learner development.
The questions we'll explore during this session:
How does movement integration activate the Portrait of a Nevada Learner while enhancing literacy achievement?
What does it look like when kinetic literacy strategies move learners from compliance to authentic engagement?
How might we use our TAMER framework to collaborate with AI in designing movement-based learning experiences that serve authentic educational goals?
