About Event

Hi everyone! πŸ‘‹

Welcome to Kampung Soup Kitchen.

This is a small, free community gathering where I cook and serve soup for anyone who wants a space to slow down, meet people, and share a meal.

The idea is simple: to bring back a little bit of kampung spirit through food, conversation and community.

This upcoming session is held at Tampines Green with venue/logistics support from Tampines Green RN. As the session is held within the estate, priority registration will first be given to Tampines Green / nearby Tampines residents. Remaining slots, if available, may be opened to the wider public later.

For this upcoming session, the planned menu is:

β€‹πŸ… Roasted Tomato Soup
A dairy-free tomato soup made with roasted tomatoes, onions, garlic, carrots and herbs. Optional cream will be available on request.

πŸ₯ͺ Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
For those who take dairy.

πŸ₯– Garlic Herb Toast
A non-dairy option.

Potential allergens: Gluten/Wheat, dairy/milk, eggs, soy, sesame, garlic, onion, tomato, herbs and spices

The venue/equipment arrangements are still being finalised. As part of efforts to make the session more inclusive for Muslim residents, the relevant space/equipment will undergo a sertu process.

Please bring your own heat proof bowl and spoon if possible. This helps reduce waste and makes cleanup easier. You may also want to consider a takeaway container!

β€‹πŸ“… Date: 28 June 2026, Sunday
πŸ“ Venue: Tampines Street 12, Block 162, Singapore 521162
πŸ•Ÿ Event time: 4.30pm to 8.30pm
🍲 Soup service starts: around 5.00pm, while stocks last
πŸ’° Cost: Free

NOTE: While it says it ends at 8.30pm, space is available till about 10pm. Ending at 8.30pm is just so that those who like to grab actual dinner nearby can do so!

Slots are limited to around 90-100 registered participants so that food, seating and crowd flow remain manageable and respectful to residents.

Registered participants will be served first. Walk-ins may only be served if food remains.

I may also need a small number of volunteers to help with setup, registration, serving, washing and cleanup.

If you are interested in helping, please fill in the volunteer form separately here: Open Google Form

As volunteer slots are limited, I may not be able to take everyone for this session, but I really appreciate the offer.

Photography and videography may take place during the event. Please let me know at the event if you prefer not to be photographed or filmed.

If you sign up, please do your best to turn up. If you can no longer make it, please cancel your slot or let me know so it can go to someone else.

Come make new friends! Bring your ah gong, ah ma, friends, neighbours and have soup together!!
