Deferred MBA: How College Seniors Get Into Stanford, Harvard & Wharton
A free 40-minute live session for college seniors: how to get into Harvard, Stanford or Wharton business school now and start years later.
A deferred MBA lets you apply to business school during your senior year. If you're admitted, you work for a few years first and then start the program with your seat already locked in. Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Yale, Columbia and MIT all have one. It's one of the best opportunities for seniors and it barely gets talked about.
You'll leave knowing three things:
Whether applying this cycle makes sense for you, and what admissions committees actually want from a college senior
Your timeline from now until the spring deadlines, test included
How to pick recommenders and position yourself

I'm Oba (@Obatried). I got into Stanford GSB's deferred program as a first-generation college student and didn't know what a deferred MBA was until junior year.
"Oba basically walked me through everything. We spent a lot of time figuring out what my actual story was, what was worth writing about and what wasn't. He drilled me on mock interviews too, gave helpful feedback. I got into Stanford GSB. Honestly don't think I get in without him." (Levin, Stanford GSB deferred admit)
Quick answers
I'm a junior. Should I come? Yes. You'd apply next year, and knowing the timeline early helps.
Do I need a GMAT or GRE score yet? No. We'll cover when to take it.
I'm not a business major. Is this for me? Yes. These programs take students from every major.
Will you pitch coaching? I coach students through these applications and I'll mention it at the end. Most of the 40 minutes is how the programs work.
Will it be recorded? No, but everyone who registers gets a written summary afterward.
