Stranded Colorwork
Stranded Colorwork: Intermediate Knitting Class 🧶
Interested in adding colorwork to your knitting skills? This two-hour class will introduce you to the basic techniques of two-stranded colorwork knitting.
We’ll work together on the Catching Floats Cowl, a pattern designed to give you hands-on practice with the techniques covered in class.
You’ll learn how to:
• Read a basic colorwork chart
• Choose colors that work well together
• Manage and hold two strands of yarn
• Trap floats
• Maintain consistent tension
Skill Level: Intermediate
Participants should be comfortable casting on, knitting, and knitting in the round.

Materials to bring:
• 100g DK-weight yarn in contrasting colors (70g main color + 30g contrast color)
• US 6 / 4mm circular needles, 22–24" recommended
• Stitch markers
Before class: Cast on 125 stitches in your main color, join in the round, knit 5 rounds, and place a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.
