About Event

In this session, Rowan Jackson who runs Promising Outcomes, will talk to members about how the consultancy increases profits, customer/employee loyalty and advocacy, and reduces costs.

This is a session where it’s possible to learn how their consultancy model works and whether or not this might be a career you can build and consider over a longer term.

Many of our members work full-time and are considering portfolio career options but don’t feel ready to lead a consultancy service on their own.

By coming to this session, you can meet Rowan, and understand more about how they:

  1. Work with clients to prioritise areas for improvement.

  2. Identify the performance of their clients vis a vis their competitors.

  3. Identify which actions will yield greatest returns on investment.

Like many businesses over the past 18 months, the model is less and less about hiring people and more and more about working with people who together can deliver and produce work for clients.

In this session, you’ll learn more about whether or not consulting is a field you’d like to explore further.

For an idea, if you tick a few of these boxes you might want to come to this session to learn more:

  1. You are or have been a senior exec, with C-Suite credibility. You’re comfortable dealing with egotistical CEOs.

  2. You have a few scars from surviving corporate politics!

  3. You’re able to exist without being financially dependent on if this consulting gig would work out for you.

  4. You may have other work for a couple of days per week and you want to explore more consultancy work and expanding your horizons.

  5. You are intellectually curious and very much want to help clients get better results.

  6. You’re a good communicator.

  7. You have an interesting network or you feel able to/enjoy building one.

  8. You’re happy to work independently after training.

  9. Have B2B experience public or private sector.

  10. Age irrelevant, there are some 70+ year-olds who find this fun.
