SHIPIBO ICARO TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP | Tuesday, October 27, 6-8pm hosted by Earth Calling at the Nest Hollywood

Join Earth Calling and Tierra Viviente for a special evening with an Indigenous Peruvian Maestra from the Shipibo tradition, exploring a culture in which music, art, healing and nature are inseparable.

Maestra Lila will share how their medicine system understands sound and song as powerful forces of connection and transformation, deeply rooted in relationship with the living world.

Through stories, teachings and sacred music, they will offer a glimpse into a worldview where creativity and medicine are inseparable, an essential part of how transformation is understood and practiced.

This is for you if you’re…

At the heart of the evening will be an exploration of the Icaros, the sacred chants used within Shipibo healing traditions as precise tools for diagnosis, protection and treatment.

Maestra Lila will also reveal how the intricate patterns of Shipibo woven and embroidered textiles can be understood as visual expressions of these sacred sounds, translating vibration and song into form and pattern.

In this extraordinary tradition, art, music and healing are not separate disciplines, they are one interconnected language, emerging from a profound relationship with nature and the unseen world.
