HR: Before Policies Take Over (Temple - 5pm)
Many high-stakes people issues do not begin as formal cases. They develop gradually through strained relationships, unresolved tension, and patterns that feel concerning but difficult to act on.
This session is for HR and People leaders who regularly sit in that in-between space — where something is clearly off, but does not yet meet the threshold for formal process.
We’ll explore:
The patterns that tend to emerge before issues become formal
What makes earlier action difficult in practice
Why waiting often feels safer than intervening
What helps, and what makes things harder, before escalation
The session brings together Ankia Coetzer (Yellow Cable) and Roanna Blacklock (RoKit HR), combining perspectives from early relational intervention and post-escalation HR work.
This is a structured, small-group conversation (maximum 8).
The focus is on pattern recognition and judgement, not case-solving.
