Harvard AI Strategic Dialogue

Canada–Asia Collaboration in the Next Phase of AI

March 28 | 4:30–5:30 PM | Harvard University | In-Person

An invitation-based dialogue convening AI leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers globally to explore emerging opportunities for collaboration between Canada and Asia in artificial intelligence.

As AI systems increasingly shape economic competitiveness, scientific discovery, and global governance, cross-regional collaboration is becoming essential. Canada and Asia represent two of the most dynamic AI ecosystems globally — spanning frontier research, public policy innovation, and rapidly scaling technology companies.

This dialogue aims to exchange perspectives on:

 • The evolving landscape of global AI governance
• Cross-border research and innovation collaboration
• AI investment and ecosystem development
• Long-term cooperation between institutions in North America and Asia

Over the past five years, it has hosted 80+ speakers, 800+ in-person participants, and 10,000+ live-stream viewers. This year’s theme, Envisioning Future Development, brings together researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss international relations, trade innovation, and technological prospects, aiming to collaboratively shape a blueprint for the future.

Partner: Canada–Asia AI Collaboration Platform Initiative

The Canada–Asia AI Collaboration Platform Initiative is currently being developed through a small group of global leaders across AI leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.

Initial dialogues are being convened in select global hubs — beginning with Harvard — to explore long-term collaboration and build a trusted network connecting AI ecosystems in North America and Asia.

Further activities and collaborations are expected to emerge over the coming months.
