About Event

The world is going through a paradigm shift of the Digital Revolution. This transformative phase will change every aspect of life including dentistry. 

Imagining Dentistry 3.0 breaks down the key components of how we deliver dentistry today and explain how new digital technologies could change the way we provide dental care in the future.

The presentation will challenge us to think about “who we are and what we do” as dentists and look at how emerging technologies and trends will place tensions on dentistry as we know it today.

Aim:

To provide an overview of how the digital revolution will change dentistry and highlight the importance of our role as dental leaders to influence the direction of our profession.

Objectives:

To show a brief history of Dentistry

To demonstrate the basic concepts of AI and machine learning

To highlight the key tensions that will shape the future of dentistry

Dr Alon Preiskel

Consultant Prosthodontist in Private Practice and visiting lecturer at King’s College Dental Institute.

Founder of Collaborate Dental.

Dr Alon Preiskel is the founder of Collaborate Dental and a partner in Preiskel Prosthodontics. He is past President of the American Prosthodontics Society,  a visiting consultant at King’s College London Dental Institute and has gained an Executive MBA from London Business School which led him to his interest in the evolution of corporate dentistry and how aggregation of data and information will shape the future of dentistry.

His teaching experience includes serving as the Program Coordinator of the implant diploma at the Eastman Dental Institute (London) and teaching Prosthodontic residents at King’s Dental Institute where he completed his Prosthodontic training program.

Dr Preiskel is a member of numerous dental societies and lectures frequently at national and international meetings including the American Prosthodontics Society, Academy of Prosthodontics, International College of Prosthodontics, IJP Young Prosthodontic Educators and at the London Nobel Biocare symposium. Dr Preiskel sits on committees of the International College of Prosthodontics and Alpha Omega dental fraternity. He is a reviewer for the International Journal of Implant Dentistry and Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
