GTA Semiconductor Connect
GTA Semiconductor Connect
GTA Semiconductor Connect is the in-person event series of the Global Tech Advocates – Semiconductor Working Group.
Launching in 2026, this new initiative will run on a bi‑monthly basis, bringing together professionals from across the semiconductor ecosystem to meet in person, discuss timely industry topics, and build meaningful collaborations.
Our flagship series will be hosted in London, with plans to encourage GTA members and regional hubs to run their own Semiconductor Connect sessions around the world — reflecting the truly global nature of the GTA network.
2026 February GTA Semiconductor Connect (London)
GTA Semiconductor Connect launches in February 2026 with a powerful, in-person session tackling one of the industry’s most pressing issues: investment in semiconductor innovation.
For our inaugural event, we’re bringing together leading voices in semiconductor-focused venture capital to explore how early-stage and growth-stage companies can access the funding needed to scale breakthrough technologies.
For our first session, we will feature:
Speaker 1: Lawrence Lundy-Bryan, Founding Partner, Cloudberry VC
Lawrence will introduce Cloudberry VC — Europe’s first dedicated semiconductor venture fund — and share insights on the current funding landscape for early-stage semiconductor startups, including how deeptech VCs are thinking about Series A investments,
Speaker 2: Pamela Hsieh, Founding Partner, Pachamama Capital
Pamela will discuss scale-up funding strategies and syndication for £10m+ growth rounds, with a focus on how she mobilises Taiwanese investors to support UK and European semiconductor scale-ups.
Speaker 3: Simon Thomas, CEO, Paragraf
Simon will share Paragraf’s fundraising journey as a UK-based graphene semiconductor company, offering the founder’s perspective on raising capital in a capital-intensive deeptech sector. He will discuss the challenges of scaling advanced materials into commercial semiconductor products, aligning investor expectations with long development cycles, and the lessons learned navigating both UK and international funding environments.
