How-To Panel: Meet Your Co-Founder

Finding the right co-founder can make or break your startup — but how do you actually find your person? Join us for a candid conversation where we’ll explore:

  • The questions to ask yourself (and potential co-founders) before teaming up

  • The qualities that make for a strong, lasting partnership

  • The key values that help co-founders stay aligned through the ups and downs

You’ll also have a chance to share what kind of co-founder you’re looking for and get personalized guidance on your next steps.

Whether you’re still in the idea phase or already building, this session will help you understand what to look for — and how to start finding the right fit.

We welcome builders at all stages of their co-founder journey, whether you're thinking about finding one or you're already building with a partner.

Featuring:

  • Ashley Jefferson (moderator) – Ashley is the founder of Startup Baddie and a strategic product lead and community curator for startups and brands navigating product fog, misalignment, or scaling friction.

  • Lawrence Krubner (panelist) – Lawrence currently serves as the Interim CTO of The Fourth Effect. He also organizes in-person events to help the leadership of startups in New York City meet the people who they most urgently need to meet.

  • Carrie Sporer (panelist) – Founder of SWAIR, met her co-founder Meredith Krill, while training for the NYC Marathon. They shared the complaint that they needed to wash their hair in the shower after every sweaty run. After more than a decade of searching the market for a solution and coming up empty, they finally started calling labs to help them create the product that was missing from their get ready routine, and SWAIR was born.

  • Jaclyn Pascocello (panelist)Co-Founder and CEO of Fabrik is a seasoned operator and visionary founder with a proven track record of building transformative businesses at the intersection of hospitality, technology, and human connection. Prior to launching Fabrik, Jaclyn served as CEO of Heywear and COO of Spacious, where she helped scale the company through rapid growth and acquisition by WeWork.
