​From Hits to Mechanism: Target Engagement, Ternary Complex, and BRETSA in Live Cells

​Promega will present advanced applications of the NanoLuc® luciferase platform for dissecting compound mechanism of action in living cells, covering NanoBRET® target engagement, NanoBiT and NanoBRET® approaches to ternary complex formation and induced proximity, and HiBiT-based degradation kinetics. Particular focus will be given to the new TarSeer BRETSA, Promega's target engagement platform that extends druggability assessment to "dark" and intrinsically disordered targets often invisible to thermal shift methods. Lunch will be provided; bring your hardest assay-development question.

​Andrew Zhang is a Strategic Collaborations Manager at Promega, based in the Greater Boston Area, with over a decade of drug discovery experience. This includes 11 years at AstraZeneca as Head of Chemical Biology, where he was a heavy user of target engagement assays. At Promega, he strengthens relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic customers, focusing on target engagement, targeted protein degradation, ternary complex formation, and emerging trends like covalent targeting and induced proximity.
