​​​​​At Future Commerce, we draw inspiration from world-altering ideas found in literature, history, philosophy, culture, and beyond.

​​​​​One idea that has captivated us is that of the 19th-century salon. Salons were gatherings orchestrated to amuse and inspire, educate and entertain. We believe this is a lost art worth reviving. To join one of our salons is to meet interesting people, discover new ideas, and enjoy the best of times.

​We invite you to join us in the private room at The Smyth and the Loyalist, the acclaimed fine‑dining destination led by husband and wife chefs, John Shields and Karen Urie Shields. While Smyth has been awarded three Michelin stars for its refined, farm-driven tasting menu, our evening will be hosted in The Loyalist’s intimate downstairs space, offering the same warmth, creativity, and attention to detail in a more relaxed and convivial setting.

​​​​The evening's conversation will be briefly guided by Future Commerce co-founder Brian Lange, but mostly be a free flow of ideas between like-minded people.
