Ash Summit 2025
As the Ash core team comes together in person for the first time, we figured - why not make a day of it?
So we’re hosting an in-person gathering to celebrate all things Ash! Join us for a relaxed gathering with presentations, open conversations about everyone’s favourite Elixir application framework, and some workshopping as we bring together the largest group of Ash contributors ever.
It’s a great opportunity to meet the team, pick their brains, share feedback, and hear what’s next for the framework.
Got something to share? We’d love to hear from you - this event is for the Ash community, and we want your voice in the room.
This is a free event and open to all, proudly sponsored by Alembic and supported by Lars Wikman.
Full agenda coming soon.
Meet our confirmed speakers and talks below:
Developing upstream
Matt Beanland
I’ll talk about my open source journey including brief demonstration of Elixir Outstanding protocol and Ash outstanding extension including how this helps simplify goal oriented systems, and Ash Neo4j datalayer, which is graph based and schemaless.
Zero to Hero with Ash as Awesome Sidekick
Jonathan Steele
A short talk about my experiences going from an only-side-projects level of expertise with Erlang/Elixir to building real applications for customers - using Ash as the flexible-and-powerful framework to help me keep things sane.
Ash Atlas
Jonatan Männchen
We’re introducing Ash Atlas — not quite code, not quite docs, but something your applications have been quietly preparing to show you.
AshEvents & Something New and Shiny
Torkild Kjevik
A short talk about AshEvents from its main creator, who will also be announcing an exciting new extension in this talk at the summit as well.
Tutoring Dyslexic Kids with Ash
Howard Bussey
My domain is the lesson plan and the lesson when tutoring dyslexic students. I’ll describe where Ash is wonderful, and where it isn’t / wasn’t easy to find the path to success.
P.S. Want to wear an official Ash t-shirt to the Summit? You can order one here: https://oswag.org/b/ash-shirt
