Speaker Series - Henry Wang
Henry Wang is a Pittsburgh operator who has built across three very different businesses.
He's a principal at TMD Holdings, an international manufacturing and sourcing firm he's run for over 20 years. They help companies fix pricing, supply chain flexibility, and manufacturing bottlenecks through direct factory relationships and procurement strategy, working across consumer products, industrial equipment, retail, food service, healthcare, and packaging. TMD has supported projects for organizations including Macy's, TJX, Nordstrom, Comcast, AT&T, TD Bank, Anheuser-Busch, and Disney, and operates out of Pittsburgh, New York, and Shanghai.
He's also principal owner of 3E Real Estate, a development and operations company focused on turning underutilized properties into working assets. Their portfolio spans short and mid-term rentals, multifamily redevelopment, commercial repositioning, and flex-industrial warehouse across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, with current projects covering more than 250,000 square feet. And he owns Layne's Chicken and Rice locations here in Pittsburgh.
Most founder talks you'll hear are about software. This one isn't. If you're building something physical, thinking about franchising, or curious how sourcing and operations actually work behind a product, this is the room. Carnegie Mellon alum.
