About Event

Join Xcel Energy, Technosylva, and Pano for a one-day workshop on emerging wildfire and extreme weather risks and regulatory considerations for the Midwest region.

Midwest utilities have unique wildfire and extreme weather needs, very different from many other parts of the country in risk profile, planning and mitigation. This interactive session will feature expert presentations, utility case studies, regulatory perspectives, and peer-to-peer discussions to help utilities in our region:

  • Understand the evolving wildfire risk profile for Midwest utilities, including historical trends and future projections.

  • Explore the financial, insurance and regulatory implications of wildfire risk.

  • Hear lessons learned from peer utilities and first responders, including first-hand from Xcel on how they have approached wildfire risk across their Midwest service territories.

  • Learn the first steps Midwest utilities should take to understand and address wildfire risk based on their risk levels

  • Leave with a clear set of next steps to advance wildfire and extreme weather risk mitigation at your utility.
