Scaling a High-Performance Engineering Team
Join us and Mark Roddy for Essence VC’s upcoming workshop ⚙️📈
You assembled an incredible team of engineers who care deeply about your users, take full ownership of their work, and ship product like their lives depend on it. They were essential to finding PMF, but now you’re ready to scale up. How do you grow your team without sacrificing the culture of achievement that got you here?
This session will explore why scaling headcount, especially quickly, can push teams from a culture of high impact to sluggish and unreliable execution. And most importantly, what you can do to prevent it.
Agenda
Maintaining a high-performance engineering culture as you scale
The core dynamics that enable high performance in early-stage engineering teams
How scaling impacts these dynamics, often in subtle but costly ways
Concrete ways leaders can counter these forces and preserve real velocity
